Interval
Every 12 months.
Parts and tools
Replacement battery. 3 V lithium coin cell, 20 mm (Nautel Part # BBLT01, Panasonic # Panasonic
CR2032).
Procedure
Perform the following steps to replace the battery:
1. Ensure ac power is being applied to the transmitter.
2. Open the front panel of the transmitter.
3. Replace the battery in XBT1 on the control/display PWB. See
mechanical drawings section at the end of the
XR6/XR3 Troubleshooting Manual
.
4. Close the front panel.
5. Check for any alarms on the graphic user interface.

Inspecting lightning protection systems
You should inspect the lightning protection systems that are connected to your XR6/XR3
transmitter, ac power, RF feedline, antenna and tower periodically to ensure that your site, equipment
and personnel are fully protected.
Interval
Every 6 months.
Parts and tools
Depends on your site, but may include a DVM, ladder, binoculars, and continuity tester.
