19. Refer to the “NX400 Internal Assembly” diagram in
, noting all parts
are identified with a Nautel Part # (e.g., 207-xxxx). Several items, which
are already installed, are shown for reference only. Install as follows:
•
Obtain a Nautel Part # 207-8251-16 “Copper Tube”. From the side cabinet (cabinet 4)
end, carefully insert the “Copper Tube” (flat brass end first) into the upper, left opening
behind the removed side cover plate and slide in approximately 2 ft (0.6
m), leaving at
least six inches of the copper tube’s L-shaped brass end outside of the cabinet.
•
Obtain a Nautel Part # 207-8251-12 “Copper Tube”. Align its L-shaped brass end with
the copper tube inserted in the previous step and use the “Combiner Tube Jig” (Nautel
Part # 207-9566, in the ancillary kit) to hold the copper tubes in place while securing
them together using two M8, 25-mm long button-head screws, with flat and split
washers. Torque hardware to 137 in-lbs (15 N-m). Remove the jig.
•
Carefully slide the joined copper tube section in and guide the end through the large hole
in the “Teflon Support Plate” between the side cabinet (cabinet 4) and output cabinet
(cabinet 3), leaving at least six inches of the second copper tube’s L-shaped brass end
outside of the cabinet.
•
Obtain another Nautel Part # 207-8251-12 “Copper Tube”. Align its L-shaped brass end
with the previously inserted copper tubes and use the “Combiner Tube Jig” to hold the
copper tubes in place while securing them together using two M8, 25-mm long button-
head screws, with flat and split washers. Torque hardware to 137 in-lbs (15 N-m).
Remove the jig.
•
Carefully slide the joined copper tube section in and guide the end through the large hole
in the “Teflon Support Plate” between the output cabinet (cabinet 3) and inner cabinet
(cabinet 2), leaving at least six inches of the second copper tube’s L-shaped brass end
outside of the cabinet.
•
Obtain a Nautel Part # 207-8251-01 “Copper Tube”. Align its L-shaped brass end with
the previously inserted copper tubes and use the “Combiner Tube Jig” to hold the
copper tubes in place while securing them together using two M8, 25-mm long button-
head screws, with flat and split washers. Torque hardware to 137 in-lbs (15 N-m).
Remove the jig.
