Performing a Cortical Stimulation Study
Using the Nicolet Cortical Stimulator to set the Cortical
Stimulator parameters
NOTE:
Use the
Selector
knob to choose the desired parameter from the display.
1. Press the
Parameter
button
for the parameter you want to set up.
2. Turn the
Selector
knob
to scroll through the options.
3. Press the
Selector
knob
or
Parameter
button to select the desired option.
IMPORTANT: The stimulus output is stopped automatically if the current
delivered exceeds the requested current level by 20% or greater. The Nicolet
Cortical Stimulator must be turned off and then turned back on to clear this
condition.
If you are currently stimulating the patient, press the Stop button on the
Stimulus Control Unit (SCU) before changing any parameters.
