In this example, the system on the right is designated as a PXImc device because it contains
the PXImc logic block (that is, the NI PXIe-8830mc). The system on the left is designated the
primary system host, which serves as the central connection hub for all other PXImc devices.

Functional Description
The NI PXIe-8830mc is a modular PC in a PXI Express 3U-size form factor. The following
figure is a functional block diagram of the NI PXIe-8830mc. Following the diagram is a
description of each logic block shown.
