Note
The module has eight spare relays that can be used to replace
broken relays. Removing these relays does not change the functionality of
the module.
Disassemble the Module
1. Ground yourself using a grounding strap or a ground connected to your PXI
chassis.
Note
Properly grounding yourself prevents damage to your
module from electrostatic discharge.
2. Remove the four screws that secure the top and bottom daughterboards to
the switch assembly. Locate the relay you want to replace.
3. Remove the insulator and the plastic spacers that separate the daughter
boards.
4. To access the daughter boards, disconnect the PCB interconnect cable by
lifting the PCB cable latch on the J1 connector.
5. Carefully disconnect connectors J7 and J1 on the bottom daughter board
from connectors J8 and J1, respectively, on the top daughter board.
6. Refer to the top and bottom daughter board images to locate the relay you
want to replace.
