Chapter 2 Installation and Verification

Serial for Windows NT

2.

Insert the card into a free PC Card (PCMCIA) socket the same way
you insert a disk into a floppy drive. The card has no jumpers or
switches to set.

3.

Power on the computer and start Windows NT.

Figure 2-3 shows how to insert a PCMCIA serial card and how to
connect the cable.

Select Start»Settings»Control Panel.

Double-click on the niports icon.

3.

Select the PCMCIA card you just installed from the Add a New
PCMCIA Card list, and click on the Add button.
