The setup wizard guides you through the necessary steps to install
the NI Serial software. You may go back and change values where
appropriate by clicking on the Back. You can exit the setup where
appropriate by clicking on the Cancel.

Note:

This installation backs up the Microsoft Windows NT serial driver

serial.sys

to

serial.bak

and then overwrites

serial.sys

.

serial.sys

is located in the Windows NT

.....\system32\drivers

directory.

The software is installed. Proceed to the next section, Install the Serial
Hardware.
