Uninstalling the Hardware
and Software
This appendix describes how to uninstall the PXI hardware and the
NI-CAN software from Windows 98/95.
Uninstalling the Hardware from Windows 98/95
Before physically removing the board from the computer, you must remove
the hardware information from the Windows Device Manager.
To remove the hardware information from Windows 98/95, complete the
following steps:
1.
Select
Start»Settings»Control Panel
.
2.
Double-click on the
System
icon.
3.
In the
System Properties
dialog box that appears, select the
Device Manager
tab.
4.
Click on the
View devices by type
button at the top of the
Device
Manager
tab.
5.
Double-click on the
National Instruments CAN Interfaces
icon.
6.
To remove a board, select it from the list of boards under
National
Instruments CAN Interfaces
as shown in Figure A-1 and click on the
Remove
button.
