Attaching the neck cord or neck strap: 
 

National Geographic compact binoculars come with soft, woven nylon neck cords. These straps 
have a metal clip at each end. Attach these clips to the mounting points located on each lens 
barrel. 
 

Other National Geographic binoculars feature a 

flat 

nylon strap with a friction-fit clip near each end. 

Pull 

up on the strap to create a loop as it passes 
through a friction-fit clip. Pass one free end of the 
nylon strap through one of the mounting points 
located on the underside of the binoculars near 

the
