NAPCO introduces new StarLink™ RF Wireless
Backup, for reporting alarm conditions to any
central station over a dedicated digital network
that spans the US and Virgin Islands and Puerto
Rico. The surprisingly economical, supervised
StarLink SL-1 Unit and service now makes backup
alarm reporting, regardless of telephone line
condition, an affordable option for every account.
Ideal for use with
any control panel brand
, the StarLink SL-1 rugged metal
unit is vandalproof and EMI/RFI-shielded, installs with as few as 4 wires,
requires no programming and no expensive field-installation programming
tool. During installation, the unit indicates its signal strength, on scale
of 1 to 5, upon power-up. And, the unit is simply registered in minutes
via fax or online with easy web account management, available 24-7.
Uniquely using the same high-speed, data-only service used by
Black Berry and Palm VII devices, supervised StarLink uses DataTAC
technology and a growing digital network of thousands of digital
(not analog) towers/base stations. By not sharing a network with cell
phones nor involving intermediary cell phone providers, like analog
or control-channel units, StarLink alarm signals are always ensured the
highest priority. In fact, most Contact ID format account alarms, for
example, are received in 10 seconds, typical. There are virtually no
transmission delays (or lost signals), caused by rush-hour or peak cell
phone traffic periods, as commonly experienced with control channel
network signals.
And, StarLink supports all popular central station
formats and requires no additional central station equipment.
