WARNING
As far as possible, perform
maintenance operations with the
engine stopped, remove the key
from the panel and turn off the
power supply.
Read this whole chapter and
all safety precautions before
starting any maintenance work.
Make sure you understand how
to perform every operation.
This manual only describe preven-
tive maintenance operations to be
carried out by the owner/operator
of the engine. Carrying a set of
preventive maintenance opera-
tions in accordance with the service
intervals will ensure engine optimal
reliability and service life.
During the warranty period, it is
essential that all work is carried out
by a Nanni authorized workshop.
Furthermore, all servicing should
be registered in the Nanni after-
sale system.
However, some regular checks,
particularly those made each time
the engine is used, can only be
carried out by the user. Few other
operations are explained further on
so that you can work on the engine
in an emergency or if there is no
repair centre nearby.
We recommend to have all your
works checked by a Nanni author-
ized workshop.
Independent repair and adjust-
ment work on the engine beyond a
limited scope is forbidden for safety
reasons.
Improper work endangers the per-
son working on the engine and the
others. Particularly operations on
valve timing and injection system.
NOTICE:
The service intervals
and relevant informations concern-
ing the preventive maintenance
of the transmission are indicated
in the user manual provided by
the manufacturer of the transmis-
sion. Contact your Nanni dealer for
further information regarding the
maintenance of the transmission.
The hourmeter displays the operat-
ing hours of the engine.
