4 Preliminary preparation
4.1 Transport and installation
2624/2 centrifuge is supplied in a box with all the necessary protections to assure a safety
transport of the equipment. Please, open the box and remove all protections.
The net weight of the equipment is approximately 16 Kg; to
avoid damages in the motor shaft, remove before moving or
transporting the centrifuge. Do not shake the centrifuge.
For long-distance transport or movement, please use the original box, close it properly
and keep it always in vertical position; handle the equipment with care.
4.2 Choose the right installation place
2624/2 centrifuge has been designed for indoor use and the installation place should be
in accordance with the below requirements.

When the centrifuge is running, a safety distance of 20 cm around the equipment must be
kept free of hazardous substances and free of people;

The supporting Surface must be solid, horizontal and free of movements or vibrations; in
case of using movable surfaces, the centrifuge must be perfectly held to assure a safety
operation;

There must be a minimum distance of 10-15 cm between back and lateral sides of the
centrifuge and the Wall or adjacent equipments in order to ensure smooth flow of air and
cooling cycle of the equipment;

Centrifuge should be placed away from Windows to avoid heat and direct sunlight
exposure.

Once the equipment is placed, make sure the four legs stand evenly on the horizontal
Surface and the equipment is well level.

The room in which the centrifuge is place must be clean and with a constant room
temperature between 5-40 ºC and a relative humidity
≤ 80%.
4.3 Changing location
Once the centrifuge has been installed, it should not be moved. In case of being necessary
to change location, the new location should be solid, horizontal, free of movements and
vibration and the centrifuge should be perfectly level.
4.4 Connection to power supply
The power supply connected to the centrifuge must be properly grounded. Check the
cable used meet with the safety requirements in your country or region. The inlet voltage and
