2624/2 centrifuge is based on current technology and safety standards.
EN 61010-1:2010 safety requirements for electrical equipment for measurement, control and
laboratory use-part 1: General requirements.
EN 61010-2-020:2006 Safety requirements for electrical equipment for measurement, control,
and laboratory use
—Part 2-020: particular requirements for laboratory centrifuges.
Therefore, using must be in accordance with the requirements of design. The incorrect or
inappropriate use of 2624/2 centrifuge will result in equipment damage or personal injury:
● Use not in accordance with design requirements;
● Use by non-qualified or authorized operation and maintenance staff;
● User changes content inappropriately without authorization of the design;
● Not pay attention to or understand the rules of safe use.
Any person involved in use or maintenance of this
equipment must read and understand this manual and the safety
rules specified in this manual.
The following safety rules and recommendations must be taken into account to avoid
accidents that could procedure damages or injuries to the user of the equipment as well as
damages to the equipment or sample:
-
This manual is part of the 2624/2 centrifuge, so it should be available for all users of the
equipment.
-
2624/2 centrifuge has been designed to be used in biology, chemistry, genetics,
immunology, etc. At a maximum separation speed the density of the simple must not
exceed 1.2 g/cm
3
; when the simple density is higher than 1.2 g/cm
3
, the maximum rotor
speed must be reduced accordingly.
-
When 2624/2 centrifuge is working (during the process of simple separation or with the
rotor turning) the user must not stay within 30cm around the centrifuge; also there must
not be hazardous substances or items blocking vents within 30 cm around the centrifuge.
-
Centrifuge design is neither anti-corrosion nor explosion-proof, therefore ensure the
environment is free of explosive or corrosive substances;
-
The use of the centrifuge is strictly prohibited with the following materials:
o
Flammable or explosive materials;
o
Strengthen chemical materials;
o
Toxic or radioactive substances or pathogenic micro-organisms.
-
The separation of corrosive substances can cause damage and destruction of centrifuge
internal material and weaken the rotor mechanical strength; so in case of separation of
