10. UNIT MAINTENANCE
Performing the following checks at the prescribed frequency is necessary to keep the device in good working
order. Do not limit the inspection to this list, as some environmental conditions may require further or more
frequent inspections .

Inspect the filters on the unit. Replace them if necessary
(must meet UL 900 requirements for
Air Filter Units ).

Make sure that nothing obstructs the air inlet and outlet of
the device.

Very that the drains are not clogged. Unclogged if
necessary.

Lubricate motor/
fan bearings
as needed.

On the recuperator, make sure that nothing is loose on the
dampers, engine plate or linkages. Retighten if necessary.

Ensure that all safety controls are functional. 
Check all electrical connections.

Ensure that fans and their motors are firmly anchored.

Make sure the recovery blocks are clean and free of debris.* 

When effective air filters are used, recovery blocks should not need to be cleaned. The alternating airflow
should blow the debris during operation. In case cleaning is necessary, the best method is either a vacuum
cleaner or pressurized air. It is not recommended to use detergent or solvent on the recovery blocks, and
this could damage the heat exchange surfaces.

Always keep a safe distance from the device. Close and lock the power supply during maintenance .
