Checking ink level and replacing ink cartridge

When the ink level becomes low, the error LED on the operation panel flashes with beep sounds

Checking ink level

Check the remaining ink icons.

• To do a more detailed check, press the [Menu] key.

Note

You can alternatively check the remaining ink amount via the VSM’s remote 

panel.

"Launching VSM" on page 20

• Press the [ - ] key until “Menu 4:  PrinterStatus >” appears.

• Press the [>] key.

Press the [Enter] key.

[4]

• Displays the remaining ink in Slots 1 to 4, as percentages of the full 

levels.

• Press the [ - ] key to flip to the display for Slots 5 and 6.

When cartridge is nearly out of ink

Steps

Press the [Enter] key.

• The  buzzer  stops.

• In the icons shown on the left, the Slot 2 cartridge is nearing 

replacement time.

Prepare an ink cartridge to replace.

Note

Sleep mode continues after stopping the buzzer.
