8.11.5 Coolant vent line (engine coolant circuit) – Replacement

Preconditions

☑

Engine is stopped and starting disabled.

WARNING

Coolant is hot and under pressure.
Risk of injury and scalding!
• Let the engine cool down.
• Wear protective clothing, gloves, and goggles / safety mask.

Coolant vent line – Replacement

1.

Drain engine coolant (→ Page 187).

2.

Release union nuts (1) and (3).

3.

Remove coolant vent line (2).

4.

Install new coolant vent line (2).

5.

Fill with engine coolant (→ Page 189).
