APM (Advanced Power Management) should be installed to keep the time
updated when the computer enters suspend mode activated by the BIOS
Power Management. For DOS environment, you need to add DEVICE =
C:\DOS\POWER.EXE. For Windows 3.1 x and Windows 95, you need to
install Windows with the APM feature.
Video Off Option
This item determines the power management modes the monitor will enter
before entering the Off-state as defined by the Video Off Method below. The
Video Off Option moves from low (doze) to medium (standby) to high (suspend)
power saving modes.
Video Off Method
This is the highest power saving mode and is defined by the following otions.
V/H SYNC + Blank mode saves more power than Blank mode.
Blank
- BIOS will blank the screen when disabling video.
V/H SYNC + Blank
- BIOS will blank the screen and turn off V/H SYNC signals
from VGA card to the monitor. If a Green monitor detects that the V/H-SYNC
signals have been turned off, the electron gun will be cut to save power.
DPMS Supported
- Select this option if your monitor supports the Display
Power Management Signaling (DPMS) standard. Use software supplied by
your video subsytem to set video power management options.
B. Switch Function
This option determins the TURBO SW(TBSW), are functional -Deturbo or Brea
or Break or Break/ wake.
Deturbo: Set the "TBWS" is a Turbo or Deturbo switch.
Break or Break/wake: Set the "TBSW" is a suppend switch.
C. Modem Use IRQ
While modem rings up, that will wake up the system from green mode. You
must connect the Modem to COM2 (default INT=3) and turn on the resume
event in green mode.
