2. Click the
Identification
tab in the dialog box.
3. In the
Computer name
box, type a unique, identifying
name for this particular computer. This will be the name
of this computer used by other computers on your net-
work to communicate with. Each computer’s name
must be unique on a particular network to avoid
confusion. Please note that the computer’s name
should not be more than 15 characters without space.
Please verify that each computer has a unique name and
common workgroup name, if you had previously given your
Windows 98SE/ME/2000/XP computers names.
