Basic set-up
The basic settings of the device can be found in the “CLI Manual
”
and “GUI Manual”
on the CD/DVD.
Default settings
IP address: 192.168.2.1
Password for management:
Login: admin; password: admin
Parameters that can be set via the management are set to pre-defined
values in accordance with the MIB.
CLI data rate: 9,600 Baud or 115,200 Baud
Ring redundancy: disabled
Ethernet ports: link status is not evaluated
Optical ports: autonegotiation
CLI interface (external management)
The CLI interface is an RJ45 socket.
The CLI interface is a serial interface which allows you to connect the following
devices locally:
An external management station (a super Windows terminal or PC with
appropriate terminal emulation). This enables you to set up a connection to
the Command Line Interface (CLI) and to the system monitor.

The socket housing is electrically connected to the front panel of the device.
The CLI interface is not electrically isolated from the supply voltage.
