1 Principles, Applications and Features
1.1 Principles
The gas chromatograph uses gas as the mobile phase (carrier gas). When the sample is "injected" into the sampler by
the micro-injector, it will be carried by the carrier gas into the capillary column. Due to the difference in the
distribution or adsorption coefficient of each component in the chromatograph between the mobile phase (gas phase)
and the stationary phase (liquid or solid phase) in the chromatograph, under the flushing of the carrier gas, each
component is repeatedly repeated between the two phases. Participate in two times to separate the components in
the column, and then use the detector attached to the column to detect the components in order according to their
physical and chemical properties.
