8. Configuration in Detail
8.1. HW Setpoint
The signal processing behavior of the input CA-SETPOINT can be configured in
many ways to fit the best application setup. Following description applies to all
possible wiring cases of this input (internal / external potentiometer, voltage source).
In any case, figure 29 shows the basic transfer function, with no minimum and
maximum temperature set (default setting).

The red curve shows the relationship between HW-Setpoint-Voltage (input voltage)
and the temperature setpoint. With default settings (minimum temperature: 0 °C,
maximum temperature: 50 °C) the relationship is linear.
Example:
A voltage of 2 V at the input CA-SETPOINT will lead to a setpoint
temperature of 20 °C (see green arrows 1 and 2).
