8.2.2. Outputs

Digital outputs are compatible to TTL and can be configured as

•

LOW active

•

HIGH active

The default setting is HIGH active.

Furthermore the output stage can be configured as



Totem Pole (push-pull)



Open Collector

The default setting is Totem Pole.

When set to Totem Pole, the output resistance is 330Ω.

When set to Open Collector, the output resistance is very low

(0,5 Ω). In this

case the output can sink up to 500 mA and is short circuit protected.

Note: Also in Open Collector configuration, the output voltage coming from

the external circuit, must not exceed 5 V.
