Turning off the radio also cancels the emergency state.

Sending a Silent Emergency Alarm
When and where to use:
This feature allows you to send an Emergency Alarm to the system without
triggering any audio or visual indicators.
Procedure:

Press the preprogrammed
Emergency
button.
The display shows no changes, the LED does not light up, and you hear no tones. The silent
emergency state continues until you perform the next step.

Perform one of the following actions:
• Press and hold the preprogrammed
Emergency
button for about a second to exit the Silent
Emergency Alarm mode.
• Press and release the
PTT
button to exit the Silent Emergency Alarm mode and enter regular
dispatch or Emergency Call mode.

Fireground
The portable Fireground Communications System is designed for deployment at an incident scene.
It consists of central components that provide on-scene and inbuilding radio coverage, and enhanced
personnel accountability and monitoring:
• Incident Management Software
• Command Terminal
• Radio Frequency (RF) Modem (Conventional Only)
• DVRS (Optional)
If you have a critical situation, you can press the Emergency button which activates an alarm on the
Incident Management Software at the command terminal.
The command terminal receives the following status updates from your radio:
• Turning the radio on and off
• Automatic response to Polling
• Response to Evacuation commands
• Pressing the
PTT
button to make voice transmission
• Sending an Emergency Alarm and Call
