In order to load the certificate, it must first be encapsulated in a format that can
be downloaded to the ewb. This basically involves adding a header to the
certificate. Only certificates in “DER” format can be downloaded to the ewb.
Other formats are not acceptable. Two programs must be executed in a
Windows Command Window. Given the name of the certificate is ewb.der, the
command sequence is:
crccalc ewb.der 1.1.1 67f0080 111 Cert "01/31/13" "14:44:00"
cat header.dat ewb.der >ewb-der.bin
The resulting file, ewb-der.bin, can be downloaded on the ewb using the
procedure in the next section.

Loading Certificates onto the EWB100
Set up Hyperterm with the required CA10 drives
– WinXP is preferred as stability
issues have been seen when connecting via Win7.
With EWB100 turned off and with the USB cable connected to the EWB, plug the
other end into an available USB port previously used for hyperterm access to a
EWB100.
Type “enter” and to the > prompt, type “D”
To load the file into the EWB, you will need the previously created ca-der.bin file
in an available folder (see separate instructions for creating a .der style
certificate).
Type load boot X then select the File->Send file (Xmodem) and select the ca-
der.bin file previously created.
