The following procedure describes how connection is made at the ODU. It is often easier to 
carry out this procedure on the ground or a suitable surface prior to mounting the ODU.  

Ensure no power is connected to the 30/60 Mbps PIDU or present on the cable before 
connecting the ODU.  

Step 1: Assemble the cable as described 
in 7.7.1 

Step 2: Insert the RJ45 connector making 
sure that the locking tab snaps home
