The Site Controller and EAS interact in a master/slave relationship. The Site
Controller sends commands to the EAS to determine the status of alarm
inputs or set the state of control outputs. The EAS, in turn, sends alarm
status responses to the Site Controller.
The EAS continuously scans the status of the alarm inputs, ensuring that all
alarms are consistently monitored.
