7. Maintenance
7.2 Routine maintenance
WARNING
•
Pay the utmost attention to the generating sets equipped with an automatic or remote interven
-
tion system.
Make sure that the generating set does not start during routine maintenance or repair opera-
tions by carrying out the following operations:

Disconnect power to the generating set control board.
◦
Press the emergency button.
Note:
For engine maintenance, refer to the engine maintenance manual.
After the first 10 hours
•
Check engine oil level
•
Check coolant level
•
Check fan belt
Every 50 hours
•
Check engine oil level
Every 100 hours
•
Check coolant level
•
Check fuel pre-filter
•
Clean air filter.
(In case of very dusty environments, cleaning should be performed more frequently)
Every 250 hours
•
Check fan belt
•
Clean radiator and check sleeves
Every 500 hours
•
Check battery
•
Check for water or sediments in the fuel tank
•
Check electrical panel and tighten cables
•
Check the generating set and alternator air inlet and outlet openings
•
Check conditions of safety decal
•
Replace fuel filter cartridge
•
Replace oil, oil filter cartridge and air filter
Every 2500 hours
•
Check tightening of bolts and fittings
•
Check sprayers and injectors
•
Clean tank fuel and storage tank
•
Adjust clearance of valves and rocker arms
