If your cleaner is not picking up as well as it should, please check

Dust canister

Empty the canister regularly, even if it does not appear full.

Filters 

Clean the pre-motor filter at least every month or sooner, especially if
used in dusty conditions. Clean the exhaust filter every six months.

Blockages

Check the hose, tubes and tools for blockages.
