STORING A PROGRAM TO NC MEMORY
Programs created by a programmer should be input to the NC memory area.
This section describes the operating procedure to store a program into the NC memory area using
the data entry keys.

A program can be stored only when the PANEL key-switch is placed in the
(PANEL/EDIT) position.

When a program is input in the foreground edit mode using the
(INSERT) key,
(ALTER) key, or
(DELETE) key, press the
(RESET) key after
completing program entry.
If the
(RESET) key is not pressed, the program input cannot be registered to
the memory.

After inputting a program in the background edit mode, press the
[BG END]
soft-key
to end the background edit mode.
If the
[BG END]
soft-key is not pressed, the program input in the background area
cannot be registered in the foreground area.
WARNING
Always place the PANEL key-switch in the
(ON) or
(OFF) position
after completing program entry. Be aware that the program will be
updated if program editing operations are carried out with the PANEL key-
switch at the
(PANEL/EDIT) position. If the program is executed after
being accidentally updated in this way the machine could operate
unexpectedly, causing serious injuries or damage to the machine.
