Removing the Tailstock Spindle Center
The procedure for removing the tailstock spindle center is described here.
An extraction bar used when removing the center from the tailstock body is fitted inside
the tailstock.
It functions for shock-proofing when another bar, inserted from the rear of the tailstock
body, is tapped to remove the center. It also serves to prevent chips and coolant from
entering the tailstock body during machining. Do not operate the machine without the
extraction bar fitted inside the tailstock body since this could cause damage to the
machine.
1)
Insert a proper bar into the piston stroke adjustment
bolt hole at the rear of the tailstock body.
2)
Hold the center by hand.
3)
Tap the bar to remove the center.
WARNING
Before removing the tailstock spindle center, turn off the power supply.
If you attempt to remove the tailstock spindle center while the power is on,
the machine may start operating unexpectedly, and you may be entangled
in its rotating parts or caught by its moving parts and seriously injured.
