Chuck Opening/Closing Footswitch

The footswitch is used to clamp/unclamp the chuck manually.

To clamp or unclamp the chuck, step on the footswitch pedal while pushing the lock release plate
forward with your toes.

Chuck clamp/unclamp operation is impossible while the spindle is rotating.

Change the chucking direction setting between I.D. and O.D. so that the status indicator

[CHCL]

is

lit when the chuck operates in the direction in which the workpiece is clamped.
