12.4 Synchronization / Configuration
This function is used to synchronize the internal controller clock with an external
sync signal (e.g. from a fieldbus). When applications are experiencing a lot of jitter,
this function makes it possible to eliminate it to the greatest extent possible.
NOTE
If you are under the impression that your application requires the
use of this special function, please contact your project engineer .

12.5 EDS file generator
Fig. 12.1: EDS file generator dialog box
In order to be able to integrate a MSD Servo Drive or MSD Single-Axis Servo Drive
Compact into a CANopen fieldbus network, you will need an EDS file. This EDS file
can
a. Be generated with the help of the EDS file generator for the current firmware
on the device
b. Be downloaded from our website, www.moog.com/industrial
NOTE
The CANopen fieldbus system is one of the options available for
the MSD Single-Axis Servo Drive Compact, MSD Servo Drive
Single-Axis System and Multi-Axis System series. It is only
available if installed at the factory, and cannot be retrofitted.
