pneumatically connected with the rotary
feedthrough, flush the system without rota-
tion.
8 Faults
8.1 Fault indicators
The following events indicate faults:

Signal noise
n
Increase in torque or increase in housing tem-
perature
n
Increase in the housing temperature to over
80 °C
n
Bearing noises or vibrations
n
Occurrence of external leaks

8.2 How to act in case of faults
How to act in case of faults
Faults on the device may also affect the machine
environment.
The following basic rules apply:
1.
In case of faults which represent an imme-
diate danger to personnel or objects of
material value, trigger an immediate emer-
gency stop.
2.
If possible, determine the cause of the fault.
3.
Immediately inform the responsible party at
the location of use about the fault.
4.
Send the device to the manufacturer or dis-

9 Disassembly and disposal
Once the device has reached the end of its useful
life, it must be disassembled and disposed of
appropriately.
9.1 Safety instructions
Improper disassembly
WARNING!
Risk of injury from improper disas-
sembly!
Stored residual energy, sharp-edged com-
ponents, points and corners on and in the
device or on the tools required can cause
injuries.
– Handle exposed, sharp-edged compo-
nents with care.
– Before starting work, make sure there
is sufficient space. Secure components
and tools so that they do not fall down
or topple.
– Remove the components properly.
Remember that some components
may be very heavy. Use lifting gear if
necessary.
– In case of any doubts, consult the man-
ufacturer.

Contact with leaking media can cause
health risks.
– Adhere to the safety data sheet.
