The Money Controls Docking Station Host Software Distribution Diskette contains the following files:
MAP.EXE
MAP.XLS
HOST.EXE
ARDAC.XLS
Copy all files from the distribution diskette to the Docking Station Host Computer’s sub directory:
C:\ardac.
Initial Set-Up: The Chassis Number to Game ID Map
(C:\ardac\MAP\SMCAS.MAP)
The Mapping Procedure is performed only during initial installation of the Docking Station System. It
creates a Chassis Number to Game ID Map in directory/file path C:\ardac\MAP\SMCAS.MAP. This map
file is used by the HOST.EXE program to place both the Chassis Number and the associated Game ID into
the database when downloading data from Smart Cassettes. Refer to Figure B-4:
A. When the Money Controls chassis is manufactured, it is given a unique Smart Chassis ID Number.
The chassis is then installed permanently in a specific game. When the cassette and acceptor
modules are installed in the smart chassis, the acceptor reads the chassis number and downloads it
to the cassette memory.
B. The cassette memory contains the chassis number and the game activity data.
C. When the cassette is placed in the Docking Station, the station uploads the chassis number and
game data to the host computer. The host software program accesses the map file (SMCAS.MAP)
and attaches the game ID to the data. In addition this game ID is sent to the Docking Station
display for operator information.
D. The host program can then place both the game ID and chassis number into the database along
with the game activity data.
