6.4 Function “SQ”: Setting the squelch value
When this function is selected, and the
letters “SQ” start flashing on the display
The squelch threshold is adjustable The squelch
function will mute the receiver when the level of
the radio signal falls below the threshold value
Thus, interference signals will not cause noise
when the transmitter is switched off or when its
radio signal is poor: If the levels of the interfer-
ence signals are below the threshold value, the
receiver will be muted
A high threshold value offers high interfer-
ence resistance, but it will also reduce the trans-
mission range: If the strength of the radio signal
from the transmitter falls below the value ad-
justed, the receiver will also be muted

(–5 … +10), the higher the threshold value

6.5 Function “ATT”:
Level attenuation for the XLR output
When this function is selected, starts flash-
ing on the display
When the function has been activated, the sig-
nal level at the XLR output will be attenuated by
20 dB and the XLR output can be connected to
a microphone input
