Configuring Parfocality Without the Taskbar
To configure parfocality when the taskbar is not available:
1. Do one of the following to display the Configure Magnification dialog:
From the simplified menu, click Control > Devices > Configure Magnification.
From the standard menu, click Devices > Configure Magnification.

2. Select the ImageXpress Micro Objective check box.
3. Click the Setting drop-down and select the objective with the highest numerical aperture
(NA) that is in position #1.
4. If the Device Control toolbar is not visible, click Window > Toolbars > Device Control.
5. In the Device Control toolbar, click the Illum drop-down and select the FITC (or other
visible light) illumination setting.

6. If the Plate Acquisition toolbar is not visible, click Window > Toolbars > Plate Acquisition.
7. In the Plate Acquisition toolbar, click to move the stage to the load position.
8. Load the bead plate that ships with the instrument on to the stage
9. Click again to return the stage to its previous position.
10. Do one of the following to display the Acquire dialog:
From the simplified menu, click Control > Acquire > Acquire .
From the standard menu, click Acquire > Acquire.
11. Click Show Live to display a Live image window.
WARNING!
The external light source for the ImageXpress Confocal HT.ai system
is a Class 4 high-power laser product. Prolonged exposure can cause plate
materials to smolder or burn. If live-mode exposure is longer than 30 seconds, the
software automatically closes the laser shutter.
