Problem
Possible Causes & Remedies
No liquid in the plate after
dispense.
Verify that the dispense parameters (inlet,
volume) are set correctly.
Verify that all appropriate bottles and tubing are
connected to the instrument, and that the bottles
are not empty.
Verify that the system has been primed properly.
Dispense precision is out of
spec (high CV, left-right
bias, empty wells, or
outliers).
Air bubbles in the wash head or system fluidics:
•
Run a full Prime, such as the One-touch Prime
program.
One or more dispense probes might be clogged:
•
Follow the procedures in
to unclog the probes.
Dispense accuracy is out of
spec (high/low dispense
volume).
Dispense adjustment values might be incorrect:
•
Adjust the dispense accuracy, see
dispense accuracy for a program on page 68
.
Dripping from the dispense
probes.
Air bubbles in the wash head or system fluidics:
•
Run a thorough prime program (such as the
one-touch Prime program).
One or more dispense probes might be clogged:
•
Follow the procedures in
to unclog the probes.
Dispense overfills the
plate.
Dispense volume might be set too high:
•
Verify that the total dispense volume in the
program does not exceed the maximum well
volume for the plate in use.
Dispense adjustment values might be incorrect:
•
Adjust the dispense accuracy, see
dispense accuracy for a program on page 68
.
