Possible Causes & Remedies
Air in the bottle lines.
Prime lines using the one-touch Prime
program.
Leaks from the liquid inlet
quick connects on the left side
of the washer.
When the bottle tubing is disconnected from
the quick-connect, it is normal for a small
amount of liquid to leak from the inlets.
The prime trough does not
drain and is filled with liquid.
Manually purge the trough by touching Purge
in the Options tab. This will also empty the
wash head.
Liquid under instrument.
If the overflow drain (see
wet, and liquid is overflowing from the
prime/soak trough:
•
Verify that the total dispense volume in
the program does not exceed the
maximum well volume for the plate in
use.
•
Adjust the dispense accuracy, see
adjust dispense accuracy for a program on
page 68
•
Remove any blockage in the prime/soak
trough.
If the overflow drain is completely dry:
•
Check around the instrument for other
sources of leaks, such as the tubing
connectors from the bottles.
•
If the leakage is coming from within the
instrument, contact Technical Support.
Note:
A small amount of liquid will not
cause damage to the instrument. If the
trough is full, manually purge the trough
by touching Purge in the Options tab.
Carefully wipe up any spills under the
instrument.
