Operation

02/98 AWB 27-1314-GB
configuration one after the other and then accessed
by the ASi master.
In protected mode, the master only exchanges input
and output data with slaves which are specified in
the permanent configuration and whose I/O and ID
codes match the profile stored in the permanent
configuration.
During normal operation, the master takes 5 ms to
poll 31 slaves.
Bus configuration and
commissioning
The ASi line can be configured or extended with the
PLC in HALT mode.
The address programming device PG 2-105-AD1
can be used to assign the required address in
advance to slaves which you want to connect to the
ASi line. Alternately, slave addresses can be
assigned as described in “Setting Slave Address and
Slave Parameters” on page 45.
It is now necessary to record a list of all slaves which
have been connected to the bus and to store the list
in the permanent configuration. The following
describes how to create a permanent configuration
using the Teaching Method.
Teaching method
Before starting to address the slaves with the teaching
method (also called “online configuration”), a simple
(e.g. dummy) program containing a minimum
configuration consisting of the PLC and the ASi master
must be loaded into the PLC. Proceed as follows:
왘
Start the Test & Commissioning Tool of the
Sucosoft software and start the online topology
configurator from the Connection List window.
