TANK CLEANING
After having been used in a long time, tank water heater will have the dirt in it and therefore must be
cleaned:
Turn off the power source.
Close the cold water tap.
Open the hot water tap.
Open the Pressure Relief Valve (if used).
Flush / rinse with cold water tanks.
Repeat this process several times until the tank is completely clean.
CLEANING SAFETY VALVE
Safety valves should be cleaned regularly to prevent any dirt that clogs the valve:
Remove the safety valve, then clean and wash.
Check if parts of the valve are still able to move well.
After cleaning, replace the safety valve in its place by first giving the seal tape.
Fill the water heater with water after pipes refitted.
MAGNESIUM ANODE
Magnesium Anodes serves to neutralize corrosive substances in the water and will run out in a certain
time depending on the corrosive properties of the water. If the water is quite good (PAM), Magnesium
Anodes should be replaced within 2 (two) years. If the water quality is not good, Magnesium Anodes
should be replaced 1 (one) year. To replace Magnesium Anodes, contact the Service Center.
HEATING ELEMENT
If the water contains lime (Mud), the heating element cannot function properly (slow heat) because it
was covered by a crust of lime (mud). Therefore, Heating Element must be cleaned of sediment each
year. Contact the Service Center.
Never turn on the power before the tank is full of water
Drain out all water inside the tank if the water heater is not used for a long time
The electric meter, wires, or sockets connected to the water heater should meet the requirements
on rated current of water heater. The socket should be grounded well, the grounding line and
neutral line should be wired separately and never be connected together.
The thermostat will automatically decide the power supply if the water heater is heated without
water inside the tank (due to the wrong operation or defective safety valve).
During being heated, do not turn off the cold-water stop-valve for longer life of the water heater.
During enjoying the bath, please combine the cold and hot water if the temperature is set too
