Record Setup
User can configure the settings for circular recording, alarm behavior, and edge configuration.
Circular Recording
Circular Recording function is to adjust the HDD space usage for the NVR and to store new video data while
overwriting the oldest recorded video.

Check the box to enable circular recording. If the “Circular Recording” box is un-checked, the NVR will
stop recording when HDD capacity is full.
Data Life Time
The Data Life Time indicates the duration that the data is saved and recallable in the HDD. Only those data
recorded within Data Life Time will be available for search or playback. Once the video data exceeds Data
Life Time, it will be hidden and cannot be retrieved for playback.

Check the “Data Life Time” box to enable this function. Select preferred data life time from the drop-
down list. Note that if users choose
0
, the Data Life Time function will be disabled.
NOTE
To playback a video exceeding current Data Life Time, please extend the life time until the recorded video
is included.
Alarm Behavior Configuration
Users can setup the pre-alarm/post-alarm video duration to be a part of event videos.
1. Post-Alarm Recording: Continue recording video after alarm trigger ended. If alarm triggered again during
the post-alarm period, system will continue recording and restart the counter after alarm ended. The set-
ting duration is between 15 to 120 seconds.
