A.3.3 Distance between antenna and DTS 4210
The maximal cable length depends on the attenuation of the cable. The attenuation
between the DTS 4210 and the antenna shouldn’t be bigger than the gain of the
antenna.
The minimum amplifier gain of the PC-Tel active antenna GPSGL-TMG-SPI-40N is
36 dB (40 dB +/-4 dB) for GPS and 34 dB (38 dB +/-4 dB) for GLONASS. In the table
below, the maximal cable lengths are calculated with the minimum amplifier gain.
The attenuation of the lightning protector is ≤ 0.2 dB.
The maximum cable length for specific cable types (manufacturer Huber+Suhner) are
listed in the table below.
