message or data. CTS=1 and DSR=1:

DETECT: Must be
TRUE at the time
each character is
received or that
character will be
ignored by 370. DCD=1: When ON,
forces DCD function
TRUE so 370 will
receive all characters
sent to it (as long as
RTS is in
de-asserted state). ON
