B7. CHECK TRANSFER FOR OIL
LEAKAGE
(In case of leakage, check the oil level)

Check oil leakage
Check the transfer case for oil leakage visually or by
touching it with hand.
NOTE: If an oil leakage is not detected, the oil level
check is necessary.
Check oil level
1. Remove the filler plug and gasket.
2. Check that the oil level is up to the lower edge of
the filler plug hole.
3. Check that the oil is not noticeably dirty.
4. Install the filler plug and new gasket, then tighten
them to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 32

B8. CHANGE GEAR OIL IN MANUAL

1. Remove the filler plug and gasket.
2. Remove the drain plug and gasket, and then drain
the oil.
3. Install the drain plug and new gasket, then tighten
them to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 37

4. Fill with specified oil till the level comes to the
lower portion of oil filler plug hole.
