When you open the liftgate make sure that
the liftgate is opened fully and remains
fully open. If you only open the liftgate
halfway, there is a risk that the liftgate
may drop and slam shut. If you open the
liftgate while your vehicle is parked on an
incline, it is more difficult to do so than on
the flat and also it may suddenly open or
drop and slam shut. When using the height
memory of the power liftgate, the liftgate
will open only to the set position.

When opening and closing the liftgate,
make sure of the surrounding safety and
keep enough space for back and upper of
the vehicle and be careful not to hit your
head or pinch your hands, neck, etc.

CAUTION

Do not use accessory carriers that attach to the
liftgate. Doing so will cause damage to the
vehicle.

Gus struts

To prevent damage or faulty operation:

To open the liftgate, unlock it and push the
opener switch

The liftgate can be unlocked by:

so equipped) or opener switch when you
carry the F.A.S.T.-key with you.
