Instruments and warning lamps
The fuel gauge indicates the amount of fuel still
remaining in the fuel tank.
F: Full
E: Empty
When the Low-fuel warning lamp is illuminated,
the approximate quantity of fuel remaining in the
tank is as indicated below.
When the needle approaches the “E” mark or Low-
fuel warning lamp is illuminated, refuel as soon as
possible.
If the vehicle completely runs out of fuel, air must be
bled out of the fuel system.
CAUTION
Be careful not to allow the engine to run out of
fuel. Engine stall resulting from an empty tank
could cause damage to the fuel injection sys-
tem.
NOTE:
If the vehicle runs out of fuel, air will enter the fuel
system. Before an engine that has run out of fuel
can be started again after refueling, the air must be
bled out of the fuel system. Keep the starter switch
in the “ON” position for 30 to 60 seconds after refu-
eling. Fuel will fill the system and expel the air from
it.
