6.7.3
Battery replacement
This section explains the replacement of the C Controller module battery.
The C Controller module battery is used for the following purposes.
• Backup of the standard RAM files
• Protection of the standard ROM files
• Backup of the battery-backed-up RAM data
• Backup of the clock data
The battery must be replaced when the battery voltage becomes low.
(1) Checking for low battery voltage of the C Controller module
(a) Setting for low battery voltage detection
1) In the <<System settings>> tab of C Controller utility, select "Battery check" in
the Error check area.
2) Click the
button in the <<Online operation>> tab of C Controller utility to
write the parameters to the C Controller module.
3) Reset the C Controller module by the RESET/SELECT switch on the module.
(In the case of a multiple CPU system, reset CPU No.1.)
A battery error can be detected by the above procedure 1) to 3).
