Network configuration
The network can be wired into star topology, line topology, and ring topology.
A network can consist of a combination of star and line topologies but cannot consist of a combination of ring topology and
star or line topology.
Item Description
Star topology The network is formed into a star with a switching hub. Slave stations can be easily added by this topology. (Add slave stations one by
one. If multiple slave stations are added at a time, all stations on the network are reconnected. Therefore, an error may momentarily occur
in all the stations.)
Line topology The connection between the board and modules using an Ethernet cable makes a line topology. For line topology, connections are
available without using a switching hub.
Ring topology The connection between the board and modules using an Ethernet cable makes a ring topology. Data link continues with the stations that
are operating normally.
