1. How to connect the relay
•
Connect the connector to CN24 on the indoor electronic P.C. board.
•
Connect the electrical wires to the relay.
2. Operation details
(1) Starting conditions
When both a) and b) are satisfied, the relay turns ON.
a) The HEAT mode is selected. (The unit operates in the HEAT mode
when the AUTO operation is selected.)
b) In the figure below, the conditions for ON are satisfied. (NOTE1)
(2) Releasing conditions
When either a) or b) is satisfied, the relay turns OFF.
a) The modes other than HEAT are selected. (The unit operates in
the mode other than HEAT when the AUTO operation is selected.)
b) In the figure below, the conditions for OFF are satisfied. (NOTE1)

NOTE1:
The Backup heating function changes to be enabled or disabled according to
the ambient temperature.
Relay (heater) turns ON or OFF by the difference between the room
temperature and the set temperature.

Turn ON the power supply.
<Preparation of the remote controller>
1. While pressing both OPERATION SELECT button and FAN SPEED button on the remote controller at
the same time, press RESET button.
2. First, release RESET button.
Hold down the other two buttons for another 3 seconds. Make sure that the COOL( )OPERATION and
DRY( )OPERATION on the LCD screen shown in the right figure are displayed. Then release the buttons.
Deleting the memorized abnormal condition
1. Press OPERATION SELECT button, and the setup screen for the ambient temperature to
enable the function will appear. *2
2. Press OPERATE/STOP (ON/OFF) button on the remote controller with the remote controller
headed towards the indoor unit. *1
3. Press EMERGENCY OPERATION switch so that the memorized abnormal condition is deleted.

On the setup screen for setting the ambient temperature to enable the function, press TEMP (+) or
TEMP (-) button to adjust the ambient temperature to enable the function. *2 *3
Setting the ambient temperature to enable the function
Before pressing OPERATE/STOP (ON/OFF) button, make sure that no beep is heard.
Press OPERATE/STOP (ON/OFF) button on the remote controller (the COOL ( ) OPERATION is displayed)
with the remote controller headed towards the indoor unit. *1
The beep sounds when the setup has been completed successfully.

On the setup screen for setting the ambient temperature to disable the function, press TEMP (+) or TEMP (-)
button to adjust the ambient temperature to disable the function. *2 *3
