2.15.4 Terminal FM, AM calibration [C0 (Pr. 900), C1 (Pr. 901)*]

By operation panel or parameter unit, terminal FM and terminal AM in
can be calibrated to full scale.
(1) FM terminal calibration [C0(Pr. 900)]
When using
with [
Pr. 291
= 0, 1] and for
, terminal FM is preset to FM
output. By setting the calibration parameter [
C0 (Pr.
900)
], the meter connected to the inverter can be
calibrated without using a calibration resistor.
*1 It is not necessary when the operation panel (FR-
DU07) or parameter unit (FR-PU04/FR-PU07) is
used for calibration.
Used when calibration must be made near the
frequency meter for such a reason as a remote
frequency meter.
However, the frequency meter needle may not
deflect to full-scale if the calibration resistor is
connected. In this case, use this resistor and
perform calibration of operation panel or parameter
unit.
Connect an indicator/frequency meter (moving-coil
type DC ammeter 1mA) across terminals FM-SD of
the inverter. (Note the polarity. The terminal FM is
positive.)
Set the monitor description in [
Pr. 54
] and operate the
inverter. (It is not necessary to connect the motor.)
Read [
C0
] and turn
to change the pulse width.
The average value of the output voltage will change,
enabling the indicator/frequency meter to be
calibrated. When calibrating a monitor output signal,
which cannot be adjusted to a 100% value without an
actual load and a measurement equipment, set [
Pr.
54
= 21] (reference voltage output) and make
calibration. When monitoring the frequency, the FM
terminal output is filled to capacity at the initial value if
the maximum output frequency reaches or exceeds
100Hz. In this case, the [
Pr. 55
] setting has to be
changed to the maximum frequency.
Using the FM output of the terminal FM, a digital
display can be provided to connect a digital counter.
The monitor value is 1440 pulse/s output at the full-
scale value of monitor description list (page 346) (
